Ladies and Gentlemen — I’ma level with you:
About a month ago we put RECollection on pre-sale. It’s going really great! And, soon (Sept 20) RECollection will be available everywhere — amazon, retail stores internationally, etc. It’s awesome that the art that we make at hitRECord will be available in real-live stores standing shoulder-to-shoulder with other great books, DVDs, CDs and all sorts of other cultural ephemera! :oD But, because of the way distribution works, hitRECord earns less when bought through these channels.
Now we all know I didn’t start hitRECord to make money. Indeed, if that were the goal the story would probably be a bit different. BUT — it does cost money to do the things we do. And one of the main reasons RECollection turned out to be such a wonderful feast for the senses (at such a reasonable price to the consumer :o) ) is because we produced it (and took on the financial risk) ourselves.
RECollection will break even at 3,000 units sold. We’re pretty close! It’ll be a great achievement for me and everyone at hitRECord to have the RECollection project ‘go into the black’ before our release date. Being able to split profits with the contributing artists from day one would be awesome!
And now, the hard sell:
As you may-or-may-not know, we’re including a FREE copy of our (RED) vinyl EP ‘Nothing Big’ to the first 3,000 orders. The ‘Nothing Big’ EP will never be produced again. Ever! So, if you buy RECollection now not only will you be receiving our wonderful RECollection anthology (DVD, CD, Book) including the work 471 artists — you’ll own a piece of (RED) recorded history.

My lovely friend Lilia!! OHHHH MY! How she unknowingly makes me realize how bad I need to keep up on my blog!! She not only has the most adorable Norwegian accent (pronouncing Vice more like “Weiss”) but her blog is amazing!!!

One of my top 3 inspirational people! I completely agree with him when he asks why we can’t make a difference before we are 30. I know there is a shift occurring right now, silent at first, but public now in recent years. Truly inspiring because this growing movement in “social entrepreneurs” are showing all of us that it’s possible to integrate ‘making a living’ with making a difference.
“ start something that matters is really about how do you get significance in your life ? How do you do something that is helping you make a living and the things that you have to do but also the things you want to do…
I love that I can share this with all of you that have been following this blog and have seen my stages of development & self discovery unfold along the way.
It was almost a year ago to-the-day that I posted a video on here where I put out into the universe my intention and desire to help younger women with self love + motivation on achieving goals. I knew that posting that video was my way of holding myself accountable and also would serve as a way to reveal my starting point in my own personal journey.
Here I am now, finishing up a life coach certification program that allows me to help an individual on a one on one basis.
I feel completely in alignment with my goal and it feels amazing!!
I know that this is a major step forward in my journey and I am so grateful to share it here.

At one of the airports they had this donation globe to throw in spare currency to donate to a children’s charity and I wanted to include some American currency in there to help out + represent the U.S
Then I thought to slap a VICE sticker on it as well.
